Micro Home
in the Alps

Looking ahead, emna.studios will take its journey inspirations one step further — by transforming a family sheep barn in the Tyrolean Alps into our very own micro-home retreat.

Rooted in the landscapes of our heritage and enriched by the lessons gathered on our travels, this project will translate our philosophy into lived architecture. We will explore how to transform the historic structure of an over 50 years old barn, into a micro-home, carefully preserving its original substance and distinctive architecture while reimagining it into something new and beautiful.

Our aim is to share this space with others as a rental retreat, offering guests a serene and inspiring place to spend their time. The experiences from our travels will have honed our sensitivity to materials, light, spatial perception, and the needs of travelers who inhabit these homes. Beyond this, we plan to establish an artist studio and host a yearly residency, opening our place to creatives for a dedicated period, allowing the barn to become a space of inspiration, creation, and connection. This project will become a living canvas of our travels — a distillation of everything we have seen, felt, and learned, now brought back to the place where our journey began.

The official project start will be in 2026.
